Asthma in Children

Nobody really knows why children are increasingly developing asthma. Experts suggest that children are exposed to more allergens such as dust, air pollution and secondhand smoke. All these factors are triggers of asthma. It seems that an immune system disorder where the body fails to produce enough protective antibodies may play a role in causing asthma.

Frequent coughing that can occur while playing at night, or laughing. It is important to know that cough may be present only symptom, Less energy during play, rapid breathing, complaint of chest tightness, wheezing (wheezing) when breathing in or out, See-saw motions (retractions) in the chest labored breathing, shortness of breath, loss of breath, tight neck muscles of the chest and Feelings of weakness or fatigue

Keep in mind that not all children have the same symptoms of asthma, and these symptoms can vary from one asthma episode to the next episode in the same child. Note also that all wheezing or coughing is caused by asthma.

In children under 5 years, the most common cause of asthma-like symptoms is upper respiratory viral infections such as colds.

Treatment Of Asthma :

Based on the story of your child and the severity of asthma, your doctor will develop a care plan, called a "plan of action against asthma." The action plan describes when asthma and how your child should use asthma medication cons, what to do when asthma worsens, and when to seek emergency care for your child. Make sure you understand the plan and ask the doctor your child any questions you may have.

  3. Yes. You are right asthma rate in children are increasingly nowadays. I have seen many children who have suffer from asthma in my area. I cans see them with breathing inhaler. I ma really feel bad after see them in this situation.

  4. The pollution levels are also to blame for this rising disease.There are many children who are victims of the illness but luckily there are many advanced methods to handle the disease.
